Helicopters Inc. fulfills serveral long-term pipeline survey
contracts, as well as doing on-call inspection work. Regular
inspections of some types of underground pipelines are required
by the Department of Transportation. This work
requires us to fly over buried pipelines at regular
intervals, looking for potential problems such as brown grass,
which might indicate a leak, construction crews excavating over the
pipeline, or stream-bed erosion.
Helicopters Inc has considerable experience in pipeline/powerline
inspection. If you are in the pipeline or powerline business,
please call us for a proposal.

Digital Imaging
|
With a specially-modified Kodak DCS-420 high-resolution digital
camera connected to a GPS receiver, we can photograph sites from
the air, and then
- Burn the images to a CD-ROM
- Produce hi-resolution prints on paper
- Post the images to the password-protected client area of our web site
Some examples of the usefullness of this service:
- A businessman in Tokyo is considering buying a factory in
Little Rock, Arkansas on short notice. He wants to see the plant
and fast! By capturing the images digitally and posting them to
this web site, we can oblige.
- A national pipeline company needs to know of trouble spots
which may develop gradually along a high-volume underground gas
pipeline. We digitally image along the pipeline through six
states and burn the resulting hi-res images, each encoded with
its precise location, to CD-ROM (approximately 400 images/disk).
If the images are required the same day as captured, we will post
them to an ID and password-protected client area of this web site.
Thus they can easily archive the images and consult them later.
